Time keeps on slippin...slipping...slippin...into the future!!!

Grey hair is God's graffiti. “Bill Cosby”

Aging is inevitable and hard to accept at times. Especially when I look in the mirror thinking I am all put together ready to go out and then something catches my eye. I do a double take and squint as I move closer to the mirror. There it is another crinkly grey hair that seems to have grown straight up. It doesn’t lay flat on my head trying to disguise itself and mingle in with the rest of my hair unnoticed. No, it has to stand at attention like a flag pole demanding attention almost screaming out “here I am so what are you gonna do now?”  Before that little sucker can hide, I grip, yank and then look at it almost sneering as I dare it to grow back. I know I’m not the only one that deals with all the subtle and not so subtle signs of aging it’s just part of life I guess. I can’t really complain about the aging process, in fact I have to say I am aging slower than some of my grade school friends. The weekend before this one I attended the first annual Reunion for my public school and although I was humming and hawing about going I ended up having a blast. It seems I’m not the only one that had the problem of masking those grey hairs; many of my classmates seemed to have that same problem. I did have to smile really big when the most popular guy in my grade 8 class was sporting a head “full” of grey hair. Oh yes, this fellow was to die for! He was good looking, smart, athletic and had a head full of long dark hair (remember it was the 70’s). He still is good looking and smart although maybe not as athletic and I’ll have to admit his full head of grey hair made him look rather dignified.  He was still able to make a few of us take a double take! My bestest public school girlfriend was able to attend as well. It was awesome catching up on life after our grade 8 graduation. My family had moved that summer so until I reconnected with everyone on Facebook I had no idea what had happened to anyone. There is another reunion planned for the summer and I am really looking forward to going.
my girlfriend and I (when we were a lot younger!)

On the work front, I have settled in nicely and after some training and a few screw-ups I’m good to go! I actually look forward to going to work knowing that each day will have some form of humour with the clients, not to mention the every other day visit from the Fed Ex guy. It really should be illegal to be “that” good looking! I get along well with everyone that works there and it’s refreshing as well as kind of awesome to know my co-workers do value my input and ideas. Who would have thunk it???? It really is true that when life hands you lemons you can add a bit of salt and some tequila and all is right again!

I hope everyone is keeping warm and has enjoyed their weekend……..
Today I am WONDER WOMAN ... I will wrap my head and wrists in foil, stuff my Bra, hike up my grannie panties, and I will wonder…..

My hair started going grey in my early 30s. :( I colour it every month. I've now noticed the occasional grey eyebrow hair. :/

If grey hair is god's graffiti, I must be a subway in New York :/

How fun to have reconnected with friends from elementary school/eighth grade! I'm sure that was an enjoyable time when you all got together!

I gave up a few years ago trying to cover the gray; got a bit too expensive, however, I did think maybe a wig could be a nice thing......

Yep, those pesky grey hairs serve as a reality check. I nominated you for a Liebster Award.

I have a great group of friends from elementary school. We meet regularly. Funny, I started singing right at the title. I am actually following you now! Just visiting some blogs before the A-Z challenge starts. My blog is http://31daysearlyirise.com. I will definitely be back to visit!
