Fact? or Fiction?
Elvis IS alive! …….Fiction
Years after his death, people all over the world still see Elvis. Sometimes perfectly ordinary people will resemble The King without even knowing it. Sometimes his likeness will parachute from a plane over Vegas. Sometimes someone's white-male-weird-uncle will dress up as Elvis at a family gathering. Sometimes, maybe, just maybe, it really was Elvis himself you saw walking down the street, flipping burgers, or buying SPAM at the Quicky-Mart.
Although there have been countless sightings, Elvis is indeed dead!
Donald Duck comics are banned in
This is urban legend. Donald was never actually banned in Finland . In 1977 the city of Helsinki was in financial trouble. They made several budget cuts, one of these being the purchase of Donald Duck comics for the youth centers. The decision was made by Mr. Markku Holopainen. The next year Holopainen ran for a position in the Finnish Parliament. His running adversary labeled him as "the man who banned Donald Duck". The media tabloids took this and ran with it. Thay came up with many different stories, including that he banned Donald due to lack of pants.
The electric chair was invented by a dentist. ……..Fact
Dentist Alfred P. Southwick watched a drunk man accidentally shock himself to death in 1881. This inspired him to come up with a new method for executing people on death row. He figured this would be a good alternative to hanging because it would be quick and painless (unlike going to the dentist, which is often long and painful)…………….(all I can say is I’m going to be on guard at my next trip to the good ole Dentist!!!!!)
A single lightbulb has been burning since 1901…….Fact
In a fire house in
Alcohol destroys brain cells…….Fiction
The moderate consumption of alcohol does not destroy brain cells. In fact it is often associated with improved cognitive (mental) functioning………….(hummm…now that’s one I can use for sure!)
You're born with more than 300 bones, as an adult, you have 206…..Fact
Babies bones link and become 1 so the amount of bones decrease but yet they are all still there. For example, the skull is made up of numerous bones when we are born but they fuse together the older we get… ……(I have to admit I was worried about where the rest of my bones disappeared to…thank goodness for Google!!!!)
And my most favourite fact of all!!!!!!!
When someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles to frown, but it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and whack them in the head……..Fact
(my information was goggled…if any facts are wrong, it’s goggles’ fault)

Great entry!!! I always wondered why Donald Duck wrapped himself in a towel when he got out of the shower, yet goes around w/o pants. And he's a duck. Why does he even need a towel?
Love your posting on facts. I actually did not know that about the electric chair.
Love it! :)
JoJo...LMBO! I never thought of that, but you're right!

Cool facts and fiction. Your comment about the number of bones we have made me chuckle.
This was a fantastic post that taught me many things, except I definitely already knew one. I lived in Livermore, California for a few years. :)
These were very interesting. I especially liked the one about the light bulb having been on since 1901. That was really cool.
Good luck on the rest of your A to Z Challenge posts. :)
